Rules Regarding Students

01. Reporting time for the Assembly for students of Junior College and Secondary Section is 6.45 A.M

The school was founded in 1961 by the Society of St. Francis Xavier, Pilar, and is conducted by the Agnel Ashram Fathers, well-known and appreciated for their contributions in the field of Technical Education both in the State and outside.

02. a). Students must report to school in clean and well pressed school uniform, light beige short sleeved shirt and short pant. All college students must wear long pants and only tall students of VIII, IX & X are allowed to wear long pants, uniforms must not be tight tailored type but loose enough to enable free movement. Shoes-brown canvas or black leather shoes and black matching socks. During rainy season, students may wear black monsoon footwear but never sponge or P.V.C strapless sandals. All students with the exception of Jr. College will wear the School Badge on their shirts above the left pocket and carry their books etc. in the standard school bag.

b). Students of class V to X are to wear School PT Uniform once in a week on date decided by the Head master. School PT Uniform will be made available in School Store at a reasonable price.

03. All students must possess the School Identity Card which they must carry daily to school. Similarly, they must bring to school their school Diary without fail. For any mischief or misbehavior, the erring students must promptly surrender Identity Card on demand to the Monitors, Leaders or Security Guard to be handed over to the Class Teacher for suitable action.

04. School uniform can be purchased from school stores. Students wearing uniform made of material differing in color or quality from that available at the School Stores will be debarred from entry into the classroom; likewise they will be sent home at their own risk if they present themselves in untidy.
Uniforms or with shoes or school bags not conforming to school regulations.

05. Students must show exemplary behavior both inside and outside the school, especially when queuing up at the Bus stop while travelling by public transport. Through their good behavior inside as well as outside, they must be a credit to the school.

06. When going to the Science Laboratory, Workshops, Hall or Ground, Students must move with decorum and in silence. No student is allowed to talk loudly or run down the corridors or just loiter around on errands during class time. Their presence outside classrooms will only be justified on production of Teacher’s permission.

07. Any damage to the School Property (i.e. Ceiling Fans, Tube Lights, Cupboards, Furniture, Doors & Windows, Glasses, CCTV Camera, Electrical Fittings, Workshops Machinery, Laboratory Equipments, and Computers) either in Classrooms, Corridors, Laboratory, Workshops, AV Room or Library must be made good by the culprit. Failure to discover the offender will entail collective fine being imposed upon the class as a whole. Decision regarding the amount will be taken by the Headmaster/ Principal/ Manager.

08. Every student should endeavor to keep the high standard of the school by excelling in good manners and academics. He/ She should avoid littering the classroom with papers or throwing them out of windows but cultivate the habit of using the dustbin kept for this purpose.

09. Students are strictly forbidden to bring to school valuables or other articles or even books or magazines etc. apart from their prescribed books and technical tools. All other articles brought for a special purpose must be shown to the Security Guards and Class Teacher. Students carrying out of the School premises any unauthorized object or even his own tools, jobs or boiler suit without declaring the same on his School Diary and taking the Headmaster’s signature will be liable for punishment. In the case of detection of such offence by the Security Guards, a severe punishment will be given and an adverse note on character will be recorded in the School conduct Register besides serious note being taken of such misbehaving students.

10. No collections for whatever purpose shall be made by the student without the permission of the Headmaster/Manager. No presentation so for demonstrations in honor of any staff members will be organized without the written permission of the Headmaster/Manager.

11. No student suffering from any contagious or serious disease will be allowed to attend school. On recovering from such disease the student must produce a Medical Fitness Certificate when reporting back to school.

12. a). No student will be allowed to leave class without the permission of the Teacher. Students must be discouraged from asking permission to leave class for trifling reason as drinking water or using cloak room etc. during the conduct of the class.

b). During class hours no student should be seen outside the class-room without the Out Pass provided by the Teacher.

13. English being the medium of Instruction in the school, all students must always speak English even in their private conversation in the school as well as outside it.

14. Any type of fine, which may be deemed necessary to be imposed on the student, say for late coming, not wearing the uniform or failing to bring the hand book, etc. with a view to improving or enforcing discipline shall be with the express permission of the Headmaster.

15. The Headmaster is responsible to Catholic students for the performance of their religious duties. They are expected to go to confession at least once a month and participate in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass with Holy Communion very frequently.

16. Parents are advised to seek an interview with the Students Counselor at least once during each term, bearing in mind that it is only with the sincerity and openness of the parents that the Counselor will be able to form a well adjusted personality, a strong character and develop right attitudes in their children. Needless to say that disclosures made to the Counselor will be treated with utmost secrecy.

17. When the Recess bell is given, everyone must leave the classroom without much noise and come down to the ground. Except the class leaders and vice leaders, no pupil is allowed to hang around in the corridors or on the stair case during the recess and all must come back from the recess in an orderly manner.

18. After the concluding prayers at the end of the last period, pupils must leave the school in silence and in order. No pupil will run to the bus stop, nor will break the queue at the bus stop, the same orderliness be maintained when coming to school either by school bus or public transport.

19. Students who are found attempting to copy by bringing manuscripts, printed matter etc. even ONCE at examinations or unit test, will be expelled from the school.

20. STUDENTS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO BRING GOLD, SILVER ORNAMENTS & MOBILE PHONE TO SCHOOL.
